Callahan Construction Managers (Callahan) announces that Joe Horrigan has joined the firm as Project Executive. Horrigan’s addition supports Callahan’s growth throughout the New England region.

Horrigan joins Callahan after 15+ years at AvalonBay Communities, Inc., where he served in various project management capacities. Most recently, he served as Director of Construction at Avalon’s North Station, Sudbury, Norwood and Saugus properties. Horrigan oversaw more than 3,100 apartment homes in various garden, mid-rise and high-rise developments, and has overseen parking garage, waste water treatment facilities, mixed-use retail, and transit-oriented developments. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Villanova University.

As Project Executive, Horrigan will oversee and maintain the quality and integrity of the construction management process for various projects, from the identification of an opportunity through closeout. He will be responsible for entire project teams, tasked with resolving major construction related issues while also communicating with project team members about issues and procedures. Horrigan will ensure strong communication with the clients, determining the project’s overall objectives while directing the means and methods needed to bring the project in on time, within budget and to client satisfaction.
