Callahan provided construction management services as the general contractor for this 90 unit assisted living / memory care / temporary stay and respite care facility in Basking Ridge, NJ. The project is the 6th consecutive project with the owner/operator LCB Senior Living. The building structure is slab on grade with 2 levels of structural steel with the 3rd level of CFS and CFS Truss Roof system providing a complete Type 1 building. Amenities include spacious common areas with upscaled finishes including common living rooms, a bistro, country kitchens, fitness room and lushly landscaped grounds. Additional amenities include state-of-the-art lifelstyle technologies throughout the building including modern emergency call and resident safety systems. Project challenges included the relocation of an active 30” drainage trunkline running through the site as well as geotechnical challenges due to soil types and groundwater.
