Callahan provided construction management services for this new development that includes 3 wood-framed buildings connected by a sky bridge. Each building includes ground-floor retail. The development’s South Building features 247 apartment residences, in addition to a 330-space ground-level parking garage. 240 garage spaces are reserved for J Malden Center residents, and 90 spaces are being used for the development’s ground-floor retail. An additional 73 apartments and the new Malden City Hall office space are located in Jefferson at Malden Center’s North and Northeast Buildings. The project includes over 30,000 SF of custom resident amenities including a fitness center, a yoga room, a solarium, a club lounge, conference space and gaming areas. Outside features over 21,000 SF of amenity space, including a swimming pool, a lawn area, pergolas, fire pits, lawn game areas, ping pong tables, an outdoor movie cinema and outdoor kitchen and dining areas. A roof deck at the summit features sweeping views of the Boston skyline.
