Callahan Construction Managers Continues Philanthropy During COVID-19

Callahan Construction Managers (Callahan) announces the company’s continued philanthropic efforts amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has provided donations to various healthcare workers and first responders, who are working tirelessly to protect and serve their communities.

On May 7, as the pandemic continued and healthcare workers tirelessly worked to treat COVID-19 patients, Callahan partnered with Boston restaurant Aceituna Grill to provide lunch to the staff at the Manet Community Health Center in Quincy, MA. This philanthropic effort was executed in honor of National Nurses Week, and Callahan was able to supply food for approximately 50 Manet employees.

“We truly appreciate the generosity, engagement and care expressed by Callahan Construction Managers and we are excited to forge a new partnership together, said Cynthia Sierra, CEO at Manet Community Health Center. “Our staff was uplifted by the fantastic lunch that Callahan Construction provided from Aceituna Grill in recognition of National Nurses Week. On behalf of everyone at Manet, thank you!”

In addition to the Manet Community Health Center, Callahan has worked to produce their own sanitizing soap not only for job sites but for donation to first responders as well as supplying Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) to healthcare organizations.

Callahan also donated to Dana-Farber’s Emergency Response Fund, which provides resources for unanticipated and significant costs to keep cancer patients safe and prevent the spread of infection, new expenses for immediate implementation of telemedicine technology, the expansion of important psychosocial support resources for patients and staff, and more. The donation was made as a sponsorship for “Lunch with Lisa”, a webinar run by Nickerson, a full-service branding, marketing and communications agency with offices in Boston and Miami. The webinar was held on May 14, 2020, and featured Dr. Laurie Glimcher, President and CEO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, discussing how “Cancer Doesn’t Stop for a Pandemic.”

“Callahan is committed to supporting the brave men and women who are keeping our communities safe and healthy during the pandemic,” said Patrick Callahan, President of Callahan Construction Managers. “These courageous first responders and healthcare workers risk their health their every day, and it’s important we provide them with the support they need. We hope our donations help keep them safe and boost their spirits.”
